I mean not just daily commutes to work, although some people have to travel for several hours to get to work, but trips to places outside the city, region, and so on?
Recently, I had to face this issue, and it was quite challenging…
The thing is, not all the places I needed to reach were easily accessible by public transport. Moreover, considering the current pandemic situation, being in crowded public transportation is highly undesirable. Public transport is the last place you want to be.
But then the question arose, how do I get from one place to another? And I found a solution. Curious to know what it is?
Let me explain everything in detail.
So, I had to travel quite a bit… I won’t go into the specifics of where and why, what’s more important is how. I spent a considerable amount of time searching for information on the internet and visiting various websites. By pure chance, I came across information about an app called StopCar.
I liked the description of its functionality. I decided to give it a try and installed it on my phone. The app is pleasant, quite user-friendly and easy to navigate, so even an inexperienced user can quickly figure out how it works.
The main purpose of the app is to help people, so to speak, “find each other” :)) By that, I mean people who are traveling somewhere and have the opportunity to take a fellow traveler, thus saving money on fuel, and people who need to get somewhere and are willing to pay for it.
Usually, the fare is cheaper than taking the same journey by bus.
I decided to post my request. To find a ride, you need to post your request, specifying the starting point and the destination, as well as the time of the trip. It’s all quite simple.
After posting my request, the system automatically matched available options, which is also great since searching for a ride manually is not very convenient.
In just a few minutes, I had several available options on my screen. After choosing the most suitable one for myself, I messaged the driver who had posted a request for a trip to a certain place.
The person responded quickly, and we made arrangements. It turned out to be fantastic; the driver even agreed to pick me up.
We had a great journey. On the way, we picked up another hitchhiker who, as it turned out, also used the StopCar app and had posted a request there.
So, everything went quite well. I liked it. But most importantly, I returned home the same way. And all subsequent trips were organized through StopCar.
I am very pleased to have found this wonderful app. Now, I advise everyone to try it. The app is useful for both those who drive and want to take fellow travelers. You just need to post your trip request, and that’s it.
